WORKING EXPERIENCE

Mohamed Ahmed Elsadek is an Assistant Professor at the College of Architecture and Urban Planning, Tongji University, China, since August 2022. Previously, he served as an Associate Professor in the Department of Horticulture at the Faculty of Agriculture, Suez Canal University, Egypt, from November 2020 to August 2022. From March 2018 to February 2022, he held a Postdoctoral Fellowship in the Department of Landscape Architecture at Tongji University. He has also served as an Assistant Professor and a Teaching Lecturer at Suez Canal University.

He earned his Doctor of Philosophy in Environmental Horticulture from the Graduate School of Horticulture, Chiba University, Japan, in March 2014, with a thesis on the impact of interior plants on the amelioration of indoor environments. Dr. Amir Detho holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Environmental Engineering from Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM). His doctoral research focused on the innovative treatment of landfill leachate using composite adsorbents. Prior to his Ph.D., he completed his Master of Engineering in Energy and Environment Engineering at Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering Science & Technology, Pakistan, where he studied safety issues on the Hyderabad-Karachi Motorway. He obtained his Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution, exploring the design of an electric wheelchair and conducting a mini-project on Sterling Engine fabrication.

CAREER PATH

Currently serving as a Post-Doctoral Fellow in the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Built Environment at UTHM, Dr. Detho also holds the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Environmental Engineering at Quaid-e-Awam University, Nawabshah, Pakistan.
