Prof. Dr. Bai Bing is a leading scholar in geo-environmental engineering, with internationally recognized expertise in contaminant transport, thermal consolidation, and sustainable ground improvement technologies. His research has made foundational contributions to understanding the coupled transport of heavy metals and suspended particles in porous media, introducing nonlinear attachment–detachment models with hysteresis that significantly advance groundwater pollution control and purification strategies. He has also pioneered high-performance red mud–based geopolymer materials, offering impactful solutions for solid waste utilization and environmental sustainability. With more than 300 peer-reviewed publications and 10 academic monographs and textbooks, his work demonstrates both depth and continuity across theory and engineering practice. His research outputs are widely cited, reflecting strong global visibility and collaboration within the geotechnical and environmental research community.
