Prof. Younes Noorollahi is a distinguished researcher in the field of renewable energy engineering, with a strong focus on energy systems modeling, sustainable energy planning, and low-carbon transitions. His research integrates advanced numerical modeling, geographic information systems (GIS), and multi-criteria decision-making techniques to assess, optimize, and deploy renewable energy resources across diverse climatic and socio-economic contexts. A significant portion of his work addresses the strategic integration of renewable technologies—such as geothermal, solar, wind, bioenergy, and energy storage—into national and regional energy systems to enhance efficiency, resilience, and sustainability.
