Dr. Pauline Boland is an established researcher in occupational therapy and rehabilitation sciences, with a strong focus on participation, resilience, and community engagement for people living with chronic and neurological conditions. Her research spans cognitive rehabilitation, goal setting in rehabilitation, assistive technology, telehealth, and inclusive service design, with a particular emphasis on co-design and stakeholder involvement. She has contributed extensively to mixed-methods and qualitative research informing evidence-based practice, policy, and education across allied health disciplines. Her work has influenced international clinical guidelines, digital health innovation, and interprofessional education models, including projects addressing stroke rehabilitation, dementia-inclusive environments, falls prevention, and wheelchair service delivery. She is an active collaborator on nationally and internationally funded research programmes and has supervised doctoral and postgraduate research across healthcare practice and education.
