Dr. Khurram Shahzad embarked on his academic journey with a strong foundation in materials engineering. Graduating with a perfect CGPA from the University of the Punjab, Pakistan, he delved into research even during his undergraduate years, focusing on electrochemical impedance spectroscopy of organic coatings on steel. His commitment to excellence was evident from the start, securing Gold Medals in both his undergraduate and Master's studies.
PROFESSIONAL ENDEAVORS
Dr. Shahzad's professional journey began as a Junior Energy Engineer/Lecturer at the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) and the Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences (PIEAS). He steadily progressed to become a Senior Energy Engineer/Assistant Professor, contributing significantly to the fields of materials synthesis and energy storage.
His international exposure expanded during his research fellowship at Hokkaido University, Japan, where he explored innovative methods for fabricating carbon nanofibers. This experience laid the groundwork for his later work in electrochemical surface technology.
Later, Dr. Shahzad took on the role of a Senior Researcher and Group Leader at Johannes Kepler University, Austria. His collaboration with renowned experts like Professor Achim Walter Hassel and involvement in strategic planning projects showcased his leadership and research prowess.
