Olivier Joassard, a 38-year-old French national, holds a PhD in Biology and Exercise Physiology from Jean Monnet University, St-Etienne, France. His doctoral research focused on "Molecular mechanisms controlling muscle mass under β2-agonist formoterol stimulations." He also completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the Department of Cellular & Molecular Medicine, University of Ottawa, Canada, investigating "HuR and AU-rich elements regulate the induction of AChR mRNAs after skeletal muscle denervation."
CURRENT POSITION AND ROLES
Olivier currently serves as the Corporate Medical Affairs Manager – Medical Devices at Innothera. His extensive experience includes roles such as Clinical Affairs Manager at Gibaud/Össur, Global Scientific Support Manager at Lohmann & Rauscher, and Associate Medical Research Manager at NAMSA, France. He has led numerous preclinical and clinical studies, including biomechanical, in vitro, in vivo, and patient biopsies, and managed clinical research activities and the implementation of clinical investigation processes.
SCIENTIFIC AND MEDICAL CONTRIBUTIONS
Olivier’s medico-scientific activities encompass evaluating scientific literature, developing scientific bases for product and pathology communications, validating marketing communications, conducting competitive intelligence and innovation analyses, and writing articles, reviews, protocols, reports, and grants. He actively participates in international working groups on medical aspects, prepares and organizes congresses, establishes and follows up contacts with key opinion leaders, and writes and manages Clinical Evaluation Plans and Reports for Medical Devices.

Olivier is well-versed in Good Laboratory Practice and various International Standard Organization (ISO) standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 10993, ISO 13485, and ISO 14155. He is knowledgeable about Medical Device Regulation (MDR) 2017/745, Jardé Law, and MedDev 2.7/1 Rev 4, ensuring compliance in his clinical and preclinical work.
